Building a Love for Music from the Start
At Vienna Academy of Music and Arts, our early childhood music classes provide a joyful and engaging introduction to the world of music for children 6 and under . Designed to spark curiosity and foster creativity, these classes use fun, interactive activities that develop essential musical skills like rhythm, pitch, and coordination. Through singing, movement, musical games, musical crafts, and one on one mini piano lessons, children begin their musical journey in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our expert instructor, Maxine Hall, works along side a former student of this class who either still studies music at the academy or an alum who has finished their musical training and now works for us. These students/ adults recognize the impact of this early music start and understand the importance of these experiences in shaping a child’s development.
Beyond music, our classes help build critical thinking skills, concentration as well as confidence, social skills, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Whether your child is taking their first steps in music or exploring their natural talents, our early childhood program sets the stage for a lifetime of learning and enjoyment.

The Fall session starts Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 AM! Each week, preschoolers (and the grownups who love them) come together to explore the joy of music. Little ones love playing along in class, and caregivers enjoy watching their children grow into joyful, confident musicians. Want to join our community of music-makers?
Each group class lasts 20 minutes and includes a mini 1-on-1 piano lesson (up to 15 minutes per student). The remainder of the class is filled with engaging crafts, listening activities, or musical games (about 15 minutes). The session lasts for 6 weeks, and the cost is $180 ($30 per class).

Benjamin, pictured here at four and a half years old, started in early childhood at the academy when he was two years old. He still plays piano to this day, but his main instrument is now trumpet. He is a masters student at the prestigious Colburn School of Music on full scholarship. He recently graduated from Rice University’s, Shephard School of Music, one of the most competitive trumpet studios in the country.
