Monthly payments are due on the first day of each month and are non-refundable.

Lesson Attendance Policy – 4-Packs Students enrolled in lesson 4-packs are guaranteed at least one lesson per week. For students who choose to schedule more than one lesson per week, consistent attendance is required to reserve additional lessons. Regular attendance ensures that lesson times remain available and allows for steady progress in each student’s learning.

Lesson Make-Up & Scheduling Policy We want every student to get the most out of their lessons while keeping scheduling flexible and fair. Here’s how our make-up and lesson banking system works: • Student Cancellations: Each student is allowed one make-up per academic year for a cancellation made with at least 24 hours’ notice. Any additional make-ups are offered as a courtesy when possible. • Teacher Cancellations: If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, your prepaid lesson will be banked for future use. Banked lessons can be scheduled before a student performance or during the summer to maximize learning opportunities. • No Shows / Last-Minute Cancellations: We are unable to provide make-ups for lessons missed without prior notice. • Tuition Adjustments: Occasionally, tuition payments (due on the 1st of the month) may be adjusted to help balance banked lessons and ensure students get the lessons they’ve prepaid for. ⸻ Holidays & Breaks No lessons will be held on the following dates: • Thanksgiving Break: Thursday – Sunday • Christmas Break: Christmas Eve through January 2 • FCPS Spring Break ⸻ Academic Year & Summer Lessons • Academic Year: Begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day and ends the last week of June. • Summer Lessons: Any lessons banked after school is out in June can be used before Labor Day, giving students the flexibility to continue learning through the summer. ⸻ We designed this policy to give students flexibility, encourage consistent learning, and ensure everyone has the chance to make up lessons when needed. ⸻

Yes, there is a $50 annual registration fee for both new and returning students.

The academy reserves the right to provide substitute teachers when regular instructors are unavailable. If a student cancels a lesson, we cannot guarantee the rescheduled lesson will be with the usual teacher.

Missed lessons do not carry over to the next academic year. Students must communicate with VAMA staff via text or email to arrange makeup lessons; otherwise, the opportunity to reschedule will be forfeited.
